You'll work closely with nursing, registration and medical testing staff daily.
Maintains a secure, clean and healthy work environment by adhering to the standards and regulations that are set forth by the hospital and local, state and federal governments.
Must have a current driver's license and clear driving record.
Knowledge of traffic laws and health care locations.
Ability to use approved GPS navigation technology and accountability and time-management skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Establishes and maintains communication with patients and coworkers to improve quality of service and customer satisfaction.
Transports patients inside and outside of the facility to designated areas in a punctual and timely manner.
Lifts patients in and out of bed, chairs, facility car and facility bus.
To move them to and from treatment areas and procedure rooms.
Offers comfort and support to patients and their families.
Transports medical equipment, supplies, and laboratory specimens to designated treatment, diagnostic and patient care areas.
Respects and protects patient confidence and hospital confidentiality by keeping all sensitive and patient information private.
Performs other related duties as required or requested Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) Highschool diploma or GED One year in experience in a healthcare setting Ability to life 50 pounds or more Current CPR or BLS certification or must be obtained within 30 days of hire Excellent communication skills and impeccable organization and time management skills Physical Demands and Work Environment The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
