Patient Care Coordinator/Patient Check Out Specialist Duties:
- Ordering various lab, radiology and sleep studies/ tests for patients after their visit with the physician.
- Obtain authorization from insurance companies for various radiology - Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries in a professional and timely manner - Maintain patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality -Knowledge of working with insurance companies to obtain authorization for radiology procedures.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient care coordination Skills:
- Must have a minimum of 3 consecutive years of medical office experience.
- Proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of medical office systems - Knowledge of how to order various labs and radiology exams.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in using electronic medical records systems (eClinicalWorks preferred) - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, healthcare providers, and other staff members - Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment - Attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining patient records - Must be a team player and show a willingness to help other staff members as time permits.
