Patient Care Coordinator Area/Department:
Plastic Surgery Center Job Company:
Coastal Plastic Surgery (Quad A Certified Facility) Candidates must be bilingual English/Spanish.
The Patient Care Coordinator is responsible for meeting with all new/established patient consults, preparing financial quotes, presenting quotes and scheduling surgical and pre-operative appointments.
The Patient Care Coordinator position requires strong verbal and math skills with a preference given to applicants with billing and surgery scheduling experience.
The Patient Care Coordinator has the following roles and
Responsibilities:
Responsible for meeting with all consults and providing surgical quotes Manage daily clinic flow and monitor patient wait times and patient's ready for quotes Schedule all surgeries and pre-operative appointments Ensure correct surgical information is on all surgery appointments (this will require double checking patients that schedule the same day as their consult) Collect all surgical deposits Ensure a monthly terminal clean day is blocked on the schedule Add all holidays and Doctor(s) vacations to the schedule Scan the schedule daily and keep a list of available surgery dates ready Answer all patient phone calls pertaining to scheduling a surgery Manage all patient complaints with proper resolution Assist the Nurse with Quad A accreditation Suggest ideas for marketing, social media and monthly specials Order lunch for the team on surgery days (check schedule daily to determine the best time to order) Balance the patient payments each day and prepare weekly deposits Order administrative supplies for the clinic as needed Assist with administrative duties (phones, check-in/check-out, etc.
) Follow all HIPAA and OSHA guidelines Other duties as assigned EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
High School diploma, Bachelor's Degree preferred.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Minium of two years high end customer service and/or sales or concierge surgery scheduling required.
Previous patient care coordinator and/or plastic surgery experience strongly preferred.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Includes office and patient care rooms with potential for exposure to hazardous chemicals and blood borne pathogens.
Adherence to universal precautions is mandatory.
