Stepping Stone Therapy is a thriving and rapidly-growing private practice that was founded on the principle that private practice can play an important role in serving the community while at the same time providing a good monetary return for clinicians and staff.
Since our beginning, we've been in multiple health insurance networks to allow mental healthcare - assessments and therapy - to be available to more people who might not be able to afford to pay $200 a therapy session or $5,000 per evaluation out of pocket.
We provide all our clinicians with access to furnished office space, our strong flow of referrals, administrative support including new client scheduling and insurance verification, all record keeping and client communication systems, and more! We hire clinical/counseling psychologists, Licensed Psychological Associates, and individuals who are on the path to those careers.

Training Director at Stepping Stone Training has become a critical part of what we do at Stepping Stone Therapy over the last 6 years with opportunities available for postdoctoral fellows and practicum students.
We are looking for a licensed psychologist who is passionate about training and supervision to join our team and continue to develop these training programs.
Although we have a strong reputation for training clinicians, we see a lot of opportunity for improvement to become even better and more consistent and structured in how we do it! The Training Director will be responsible for all things training including, but not limited to, organizing and planning training opportunities, providing individual and/or group supervision, coordinating with local doctoral and internship programs, managing the application and interview process, ensuring all procedures and paperwork align with Texas regulations and local program requirements, supporting supervisors, etc.
The Training Director will also be expected to maintain a reasonable clinical caseload of therapy and/or assessment, in line with their clinical interests.
Responsibilities:
1) We want someone who can focus on growth opportunities as well as setting consistent processes.
But don't worry - you won't be on your own! You'll be working hand-in-hand with our clinical operations supervisor to support the development of this part of our business.
? Expand our reach to attract high quality postdoctoral fellow and practicum student applicants.
Maybe even help us get APPIC-member status! ? Help get more fully licensed folks involved in the training program to increase our capacity to support more trainees.
? Closely monitor Texas and university-program regulations to make sure our training is meeting all applicable requirements and adequately preparing our trainees.
2) To work effectively with the team and with clients, amazing communication skills are a must! ? In addition to direct supervision of trainees, you'll be providing support to other supervisors at the practice, meeting with practice leadership, and participating in consultation groups - communication and interpersonal skills are key to each of these! 3) Be willing to take initiative and be creative! ? While we could just continue the status-quo, we'd really like to find someone who is ready to help develop and evolve this program over time.
? We want to provide excellent training for our trainees to ensure we're serving our clients and community the best we can, while also making it enjoyable for the trainees in the process.
4) Maintain a reasonable clinical caseload of therapy and/or assessment services - whatever you like! Our goal for all our clinicians is to support them in providing the services they feel passionate about and help serve our community.
Qualifications:
? Doctoral degree in Clinical, Counseling, or School Psychology ? Texas state licensure as a psychologist or willingness to get licensed in Texas ? Ability to be credentialed and contracted with private insurance companies (BCBSTX, Aetna, etc.
).
Don't worry - we'll do this for you! ? Prior experience supervising trainees required; prior administrative/leadership experience related to training is a plus! ? Excellence in written and verbal communication ? Comfort in working with technology for private practice including web-based EHR (Simple Practice), virtual supervision, web-based evaluation questionnaires ? Hybrid role - there is certainly opportunity for work from home/telehealth days on a regular basis, but on-site presence is also required given the supervisory and administrative nature of this role Benefits and Compensation:
