Business Development Manager - Industrial Automation Systems

Our client is a Large Control Systems Integrator catering to Process Control Industries such as Oil & Gas, Chemical/Petrochemical, Food & Beverage, Utilities and Pulp & Paper. They are seeking an experienced full-time Business Development Manager with industrial automation solutions experience to become a part of their Sales Team.
This position will work out of the Baton Rouge, LA ( or New Orleans, LA or Lake Charles, LA ) office and report directly to upper management. They are seeking a performance compensation driven sales professional that excels from plant to C-level prospecting and industrial automation sales.
? Generous Base Salary plus commission based on gross margin!!
Responsibilities:
The main focus of the Business Development Manager is to bring in new business and new clients.
Deliver sales revenue from the portfolio of offerings to clients and prospects in the assigned region.
Winning new contracts and orders through prospecting and developing new customer relationships.
Identify and qualify legitimate sales opportunities, providing a consultative and value-added approach to develop relationships.
Maintain an ongoing relationship with prospective clients continuously assessing and communicating how we can meet their needs.
Requirements for Business Development Manager:
An engineering degree and 5
years experience in process control and/or industrial automation systems / solutions
5 years of successful industrial sales experience and an existing client base in the assigned area. Must be passionate towards sales and have a proven ability to prosecute and close new business.
Candidates must be capable of regional and national travel to support key account sales.
The ideal candidate will be proposing and closing sales to achieve $4 million nominal annual territory revenue. Will have current customer relationships and established new opportunity pipelines.
Excellent interpersonal skills including strong self motivation, focus and passion for the sales process and service to customers.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
